In dye-sublimation printing technology, transfer paper printed with special dye-sublimation ink is layered with polyester material, and 180°C degree heat and pressure is applied, breaking down the binding between the polyester fiber molecules. Then, dye-sublimation ink is vaporized and the ink molecules are inserted into the material, making the final product semi-permanent, unfading, and vividly colored. Because the ink penetrates to the molecular level, this technology shows gradation beautifully and is especially good for detailed work such as photographs and computer graphics. |
